STORY

A Brief History

Snakes and Ladders has ancient roots – first played in India over a thousand years ago as Moksha Patam. Originally a moral lesson in virtue and vice, ladders symbolized good deeds, while snakes represented missteps in life.
The game traveled to Victorian England, where it became a family favorite, and later spread across the world.
